The ACCOUNTING SOCIETY gives students a chance
to learn more about this field that they have chosen or will
choose to study during their stay at Baruch. Speakers and recruiters
from the "BIG SIX" and many other firms discuss a verity
of issues that deal with accounting, job placement and more.

The ACTUARIAL SCIENCE SOCIETY promotes Actuarial
Science in the Baruch College Community by providing students
with information on all aspects of the field and sponsoring lectures

The ALBANIAN STUDENT COUNCIL's purpose is to
enlighten and expose individuals to Albania's history. Some American-Albanian
people have fulfilled the American dream in the United States.

AMERICAN MARKETING ASSOCIATION's purpose is
to prepare students for the next level of the real world and
persuade them to become actively involved in shaping their future
activities. In addition, the AMA helps students to realize their

seminars on various topics.

AMERICANS PROMOTING DEMOCRACY shall educate the Baruch student body on democracy and current political events while promoting friendship and well-being. The purpose of the ARAB ALLIANCE is to promote
awareness of the cultures and traditions of the Arab community
here in the United States and abroad (such as the Arabic language,
foods, attire, traditional rituals, dances, music, etc.). The
Arab Alliance will give representation to the Middle Eastern
students at Baruch and plans to interact with other Arabs CUNY-wide.
The club will give the Arab's view of today's society from a
political and social standpoint.

The purpose of the BARUCH ARCHERY CLUB is to
perpetuate, foster and direct the sport of archery. We want to
make this popular, but unfortunately not easily accessible, sport
available to the Baruch community. Experience is not required.
Both equipment and coaching will be provided free of charge.
We participate in local and national competitions, as well as
charitable events such as the National Veteran Wheelchair Games.
Our practice sessions are run under a cordial and social atmosphere.

The mission of ASCEND is to continually influence and encourage
the development of finance, accounting and business professionals and students
while serving as a collective voice for the Asian and Pacific Islander communities
in the finance, accounting and related business fields. Ascend-Baruch is an extension
of the parent organization with the goal of creating a collegiate level network.
Membership to join the national parent organization is optional and the dues
are to paid directly to them. Membership in the national organization is not
required to become a member of Ascend-Baruch.

ASEDOM (ASSOCIATION ESTUDIANTE DOMINICANO)
is an organization based on accommodating Dominican students
to the best of their needs, by not discriminating other cultures.
ASEDOM not only offers educational and social help for Dominican
students, but to everyone who wants to come and join an animated
crowd full of fun and laughter.

ASIAN CULTURAL EXCHANGE is a club where an
eclectic number of Asian cultures - Japanese, Chinese, Indian,
and many more - come together to show their pride in their race
and ethnicity. Within this club, we hope to culturally converge
to help those who are in the Asian minority - in this society
- in hopes to gain a brighter future. We hope to make more people
aware of their own culture and those cultures around to expand
their knowledge.

The BALLROOM DANCE ORGANIZATION's purpose is
to teach all students that are interested to dance the Latin American dances of Samba, Cha-Cha-Cha, Rumba, Jive and Paso Doble. They will be taught cooperation, leadership, technique, rhythm and competition through these dances. The participants will be given routines and choreography that will be inspiring and unique. This club will be entertaining and energetic.

Chapter of American Advertising Federation (AAF). AAF is a trade association
headquartered in Washington, D.C. representing 50,000 professionals in the
advertising industry. BCAS aims to promote and provide Baruch students with
a better understanding of the functions of advertising and its value, to stimulate
and encourage advertising professionalism with hands on experience and education,

BEST BUDDIES matches people with intellectual
disabilities with college students and creates one-to-one friendships
between them. The vision behind BEST BUDDIES is to maximize social
opportunities for adults living in the community who have ID,
offering a chance to explore life in a new way to provide higher
self-esteem, greater self-confidence, an increased feeling of
acceptance into the community, and stronger communication and
social skills. Student volunteers learn about leadership, community
service and their roles as future employees and leaders in their
communities. Starting as one chapter by Anthony Kennedy
Shriver in 1989 at Georgetown University, BB has grown into a
vibrant organization involving 50,000 participants on 900

a national honor society that recognizes scholastic and professional
excellence among undergraduate and graduate students majoring
in Accounting, Finance and Computer Information Systems. BAP
seeks to promote the study and practice of accounting, finance
and information systems as well as providing opportunities for
self-development, service and association among members and practicing
professionals. BAP complements members' formal education by providing
them with a unique opportunity to liaise with professionals from
the industry. This allows members to gauge the current trends
and position themselves appropriately to cater to the needs of
the marketplace. An overall GPA of 3.3 and and 12 credits at

The BUSINESS IN ASIA club will educate, inform,
acknowledge members about the markets in Asia in hopes to realize

political and cultural awareness among all Caribbean students.

The CHABAD CLUB at Baruch College was founded
on a 250-year Chabad-Lubavitch philosophy which combines intellectualism
and joyousness with practical Kabalistic application. This is
within the capacity each individual, along with the ability to
hasten the coming of Moshiach and world redemption through acts
of goodness and kindness. We endeavor to make Chabad philosophy
available to the larger Baruch community, following the Chabad
House tradition which began in the 1950s and serves over 100
campuses and thousands of communities worldwide. Chabad hosts
weekly reCHARGE discussions on Tuesday (lunch included) on Jewish
Thought and Spirituality. In addition, the Chabad Club sponsors
student events, weekend retreats and has established a growing
library on topics of Judaism and Kabalah. Chabad is especially
famed for its Jewish Holiday gift packages and spirited celebrations.

The purpose of the CHINESE CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP
is to witness to the students of Baruch College about the Word
of God and to provide a comfortable environment for Christians
within the campus. Chinese Christian Fellowship has different

Baruch's first literary journal, has had a history with the College
for over 10 years. The magazine, which is now published once
a semester, is a journal of original poetry, short stories and

The HILLEL CLUB is different from the "typical" Hillel at a residential campus
where Hillel provides the basis for campus Jewish community.
It provides programs and resource materials on issues and occasions
of Jewish interest. It is an organization that appeals to the
interest of any student, regardless of his/her degree of knowledge
or commitment on Jewish topics. It welcomes respectful disagreement
as much as agreement. Hillel will act as ombudsman for any student
or faculty member faced with anti-Semitism or discrimination.
Thus, as Hillel serves the Jewish needs of campuses throughout
the world, Hillel answers the call for community at Baruch.

culturally responsible persons who succeed professionally and
positively impact the community through Hip Hop culture and music.
We serve as a vehicle for promoting cultural unity and academic

musical plays, fashion shows and other forums for promoting Hip
